Man Of Steel (2013)

Look what I've just watched today! Yup, you see it right, it's the Superman newest movie, Man Of Steel. Directed by Zack Snyder, this 2013 Supes movie has pretty much the same story plot as the previous one, Superman Returns (2006). The only difference is the one who portrays him and more details in here and there. I know it sounds boring because the story keeps repeating again and again, but ever since he is my number one favorite superhero, I guess there's nothing wrong to watch it over again.

I mean, what's not to love about him? He's the strongest of all and the most human *wink. So, let's skip the synopsis and goes straight to my opinion shall we? And oh, have I warned you about spoiler? :P

IMO, this is the best Superman movie. Ever. I talk like I always watch all of his movies, eh? I haven't even born when first Superman movie was aired but I'm willing to bet. This one was action-packed, 2 and a half our full of action. Suits for boys who love action.

It is a whole package movie actually, you can feel the suspense + sadness + fun. What more could you ask for? Not to mention, the oh-so-great graphic add the level of them all to maximum

This one is my favorite part, when the tornado hit the city and Jonathan Kent a.k.a Clark Kent adoptive father died because of the disaster and there was nothing Clark can do instead of watching his father died in front of his own eyes. I burst into tears. I feel like, you might be a Superman who has super ability in everything but then they all go useless when you can't save someone you love the most. It puts you in an awry situation, because of his father expected him not to show up his super ability in front of public. Two thumbs up for the director who successfully put me and I believe other viewers in this sad emotion haha...

And my other favorite scene from the movie is when things get tough, Clark Kent seek advice from priest. He went to this Church and behind him there was Jesus praying in Gethsemane mosaic on the wall. Too bad I couldn't find the image anywhere. I love how this superhero movie still remember about the faith, Christian faith. Hope there will be more movies like this in the future. Fox News even wrote about an article that this movie filled with Christianity references, read it here

"In my world, it means hope" - Superman

How the "S" look alike symbol on Superman's chest for all of this time has different meaning than we thought it was, kind of surprised me for sure. Well, my name starts with an "S" can I say I'm a resemblance of hope too? For my family and others? Hehehe... I'm proud about it somehow! I know the symbol was not an actual "S" but it still looks like it, right? :P

Another turn on from this movie is absolutely the HOT Henry Cavill. I mean, who doesn't fall in love with his Superman-charm, blue eyes, that melting smile and those body?! He's ripped! More buff than ever, even when he portrayed Perseus in Immortals (2011). Oh, man I wish he had Twitter account so I could tell how deeply I fell in love for him many times, over and over again hahaha... *drooling*

But above all, I'm a bit disappointed about the one who portrayed Lois Lane. Why it had to be Amy Adams? I don't think she's fit the character tho, no offense... IMHO, the casting director could find someone more suitable for Lois Lane :(

The only negative thing about Henry Cavill is he still looks super HOT if not hotter even when he's wearing glasses to be a reporter on Daily Planet LOL...

Last but not least, I found these two movie posters on Google Images. Both of them are great. I think the right one is a fan-made but I like it more than the left one which I believe is the original one. The fan-made seems more touching, I get the feeling from it that he needs to be a superhero who save lives like every time. The rain resemblances his problems and tough times (in this movie maybe his "an outcast" feeling) but he needs to put aside all of them, stay calm and keep fighting so people can look up at him hoping that he is always there to save

So, over all I rated this movie 8.5 out of 10. A little bit higher than IMDb. For all of you who haven't watched this movie, go grab one! I can't believe I've watched the movie in its opening week hehe...

Before I end this post, I'm so sorry for my 4 months hiatus. My job is time-consuming but I'll try to update my blog more often from now on, can't promise you anything but I said I'll try
Well, until my next posts guys!
